Health & Beauty Tip

Hey girls! Well im going to go ahead this week with another Weekly Health & Beauty Tips. Let me know what you think of these tips! Like them? Hate them? Leave me some feedback :)

Let get right to it!

DIY Milk Face Mask!
Dry skin can be very irritating at times and often gets flaky all over. If you want to give your dry skin a soft and silky feel, here’s a great beauty tip straight from your kitchen! How about using a homemade milk mask to get rid of the problem of dry skin and get a supple, fresh and healthy look?

Ingredients required for milk face mask:

 • 1 tsp Powdered Milk

• 1 tsp Aloe Vera Gel

• 1 tbsp Runny Honey (not the hard stuff)

• 2 drops Essential Oil

How to prepare milk face mask:

Preparing this milk face pack for dry skin involves a very simple step. All you need to do is mix all the ingredients well and make a paste. Your natural beauty pack is ready.

How to apply milk face mask:

 • Wash face properly and dab it dry.

• Now use your fingers to spread the milk mask evenly all over your face leaving out the eyes and adjoining sensitive areas.

 • Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

Treat your skin with homemade milk mask regularly and see for yourself, the difference within a few days. Such homemade beauty tips are effective for a glowing and healthy skin!

Note: Girls, do not use this beauty recipe if you are allergic to any ingredient! I woulnt want any of you girls to get a reaction.

Cold and flu season is here, but that doesn't mean you have to stock up on tissues and wait for symptoms to make you miserable! To keep fever, sneezing, runny nose, and other gnarly symptoms away, just do your daily 30-minute walk and chow down on these foods to give your immune system a hefty boost.

1. Use the power of healthful protein. One of protein's many jobs is pumping up your ability to make disease-busting antibodies. Just steer clear of fatty red meats and full-fat dairy foods (they promote heart-hazardous inflammation). Pick up healthy-fat, high-protein foods, such as nonfat dairy, skinless white-meat chicken, ground turkey breast, tofu, fish, nuts, and beans.

2. Load up on colorful eats. Oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, kiwifruit . . . all are loaded with vitamin C and flavonoids, which help your body churn out protective immune cells. Take this quiz to see how much you know about preventing colds and flu.

3. Eat 100% whole-grain cereals. Oatmeal, shredded wheat, and other whole-grain cereals deliver three nutrients proved to enhance immunity: selenium, zinc, and beta glucan.

Winter TAG!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Hey girls! Today is the first week of advent, which means 4 more weeks until Christmas! Boy the time just flew by. To get into the winter season, maybabytumbler from Youtube did a Random Winter Question Tag. Tags are always fun to do. Hope you like it!

1. What item of clothing do you love to wear in winter but wouldn't be seen wearing it in public? This might seem odd, but Lulumeon Athletica short! I wear these all the time when I’m at home! Even though it gets really cold, I love wearing them because they are soo confortable! I also do track, so that could explain why I find them so comfortable.

2. Most wanted item for winter? I have been wanting these for a while now actually, Mukluk Boots. So many girls at my school wear them and they look super comfortable! Whenever I go to school I always wear clothes and boots that are comfortable, and these are a must have for me this season!

3. Favourite boots to wear in winter? Knitted Ugg Boots! I don’t know about you, but I think that these are the cutest boots that look good with any outfit! Whether you wear jean or sweat pants, they look good with anything :)
4. Are you a fan of UGG boots? Yes I am :) Like I just said in the above question, they are super cute and can be worm with practically anything!

5. What is your most worn item for winter? This would have to be a tie between Ugg Boots, Lululemon Athletica Pants, and oversized/ Grandpa Sweaters. Winter is a perfect time to dress in warm clothes and mix-and-match knits and holiday prints. I especially love the outfit of cute boots, leggings, and a cute oversized sweater :)

6. What is your favourite winter trend? I really am loving prints. Printed sweaters, shirts, even leggings, I’m loving them all. I am also loving furs (faux of course!), leathers, and anything with feathers!

  7. What is your typical winter day consisting of? Warning: Not very exciting haha! On Mondays to Fridays I wake up and get ready for school, go to school for the day then come home, go to track/ workout, then do any homework and or study for exams, check my computer and blog :), then do my ab workout, shower on odd days, and go to bed!

On the weekends I wake up, get ready for work, go to work, come home and do homework or anything for my blog, depending on the day but hang out with friends, come home and go to bed!

8. Cup of tea, hot chocolate, or coffee? I really love tea because there are so many different flavors of tea, but also because it helps my throat when its dry/sore. However, lately I have been loving the coffee my mom drinks! It is a mixture of French vanilla and medium roast beans. It tastes real great, and also give be energy throughout the day!

9. Do you like or dislike that it's starting to get dark? I’m torn between the two! I love how it stays dark until late morning, but I don’t like how it gets dark early! It always makes everything seem so much later than it actually is. I do love when the sun is out, and it is a nice sunny day and the sun makes the snow sparkle like there are diamonds in the snow, I love how that looks! So like I said I’m torn lol.

10. Christmas is coming, do you have any idea of what you want? Yep! I have already made a list :) I am planning on posting one as it gets closer to Christmas! I can’t wait :) haha.

Hope you enjoyed this tag! It was fun to do! I decided for this tag, that I tag everyone who reads this! I would love to hear your answers to these questions :) Send me the link to your post when you do this tag!

Happy Holidays girls

Weekly Beauty & Health Tips!

Hey Girls!

I was thinking about doing a new 'series' of posts about health and fitness, exercise, makeup and beauty tips, ect! I've been wanting to do these kind of posts for ages but never got around to it, and I hope you girls will be interested!

My plans for these posts are to do one every Tuesday or Wednesday, and each post will have one beauty/makeup tip and one health/fitness tip! I thought I would also end each post with a quote that will inspire you for the rest of the week! :)

So lets get right to the first post!

Where I live the temperatures have been really been up and down. One day it will be -27 ̊ C and a few days later (like today) it will be 0 ̊ C! So dry skin is a problem of mine, and this first tip deals with dry skin.

Gentle cleansing: Dry skin demands plenty of cleansing and regular skin cell stimulation. Apply generous proportions of moisturizer to the dry skin. It saturates the outer skin layers with water content and gives a soft and moist look.

Dry Skin Mask: For revitalizing, the dead skin cells prepare a mask for your face! To make it use an egg, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil. Add little rosewater drops in the end. Mix everything together and apply the mask and see the result for yourself!

Everybody wants to be healthy now adays right!? Well listen to this...It takes 3500 calories to gain a pound. If you want to lose a pound per week, reduce your calorie intake by 250 calories and incorporate daily physical activity that will burn 250 calories. Flaxseeds are a great source of Omega 3 fatty acids. To regularly consume flax seeds, sprinkle them on your cereal, salads, and sandwiches or put in soups and stews!

"Life's not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

Would you like to see more of these posts? Or do you want be to give tips on something specific? Let me know!

Winter Must-Haves!

Hey Girls!
Winter has hit our city hard this past week with tonight’s overnight temperatures expected to reach -27 ̊ C! Crazy eh?

However, all the snow has really got me into the Christmas mood! I have already downloaded Christmas songs for my iPod! With one of the most anticipated holidays not too far away, I thought it would be good to make a winter must-have list. Here I have listed all the clothes, shoes, and accessories that I would like to get this coming season!

During winter, boots are my most commonly worn footwear. I love them and they are so comfortable! Boots can be matched up and look good with just about every winter outfit. This winter I am really loving military-like, Faux-Fur, and Boho-looking boots. The pictures above show some boots that I am loving right now. My sister actually has the top middle brown pair (and I love stealing them from her and wearing them :) haha)
Platform Heels
At this time of year, especially as it's the holiday season, is the best time of year to buy a pair of platform heels. When I look for heels, I especially look for ones that will make my friends say “Wow!” They're perfect for all the Christmas and New Year parties, and I am sure all of you will be going to one!
Above are some pictures of the types of heel I am loving! The top left gold sparkly ones I am planning on buying for our Winter Formal!
Winter is the perfect time of the year to pull out all your chunky knitts, berets, scarves, and moose/deer prints! I loves wearing these things in winter. Another thing that is really big now is feathers. I love wearing feather earrings, and I also have a feather hair extension. Big gold bangles and rings are also nice for winter, since gold is a really festive color! Above are the accessories I am loving. The Louis Vuitton clutch is somthing my sister is going to get, but I love it alot!

Above is a collage of clothes that I really am loving. Like I mentioned in my accessories, This time of year is the best time to wear oversized sweaters, leggings, with toques or earmuffs! Super cute :) Me and my friends like wearing these sweaters called Grandpa Sweaters. They are just oversized sweaters with old designs on them. The picture on the bottom row gives a pretty good idea of what they look like. Winter is alot a great time to dress up, spend time with family and friends, and drink some Hot Chocolate :)
There ya go! There is my winter must-have list!
What are your favorite winter outfits and styles? I would love to hear what they are! :)

Winter Frost Eyeshadow & NOTW & Blog Award

Hey Girls!
So I think winter is officially here! Well where I live anyways! For the past 3 days I have woke up to snow snow snow! I love the weather when you look outside and the snow has just fallen and it looks all fluffy and sparkly!

This is what I woke up to this morning! Looking outside make me want to get a nice mug of Hot Chocolate and lay in bed watching Christmas movies all day! Haha, but unfortunately I had to work all day today and wasn’t able to enjoy doing that.
However, today I was able to do a eyeshadow tutorial using my Sephora Eyeshadow that bought not to long ago. I really love this eyeshadow and the beautiful silver sparkles that are in it make me love it even more.

I used my Tickled Pink by Sephora and Chocolate by Joe Fresh. I also applied some glitter eyeliner on top of the shadows to make it even more sparkly! I did a post on it when I first purchased this eyeshadow and posted a few swatches here. Tickled Pink is a gorgeous frosty pink color with silver glitters, it isvery smooth in texture, has a shimmery finish, and blends so nicely. I absolutely love this shade paired with a darker chocolate brown color.

For my lips, I decided to go with bright red-pink lips to give the look a pop of color! I also added some shimmery gloss over to make the shadow and lips go perfectly together.

October Favs

It’s that time again. Wow October just flew by! I can't believe it’s already November. Really, this whole year has flown by. Right away it’s going to be Christmas! I hope all you girls had a wonderful October! Speaking of Christmas, today my city got snow! And not just a little snow, a lot of snow! It was definitely a surprise when I woke up to it, and I was a little disappointed that it snowed. I wish snow would come just a few days before Christmas so it would make the season exciting.
Lol, enough babbling and onto my October favorites!

Covergirl Clean Sensitive Skin Liguid Foundation; I have been using this brand of foundation for years now and I dont think I ever want to change it. It is smooth, breathable, light, and matches your skin very well! It also lasts all day, which is a must for my Schedule!
Joe Fresh Eyeshadows in Ice and Chocolate; I have been loving these eyeshadows for about 3 months now, and I keep finding new shades to love. This month I have been using Ice for the shade on my lid and Chocolate for my crease and outer "V" It is a simple but cute look!
Wet n' Wild Concealer; This concealer comes in second place to my liquid one, which sadly I have ran out of, so this month it has been working pretty well for me. It covers my dark circles pretty good and any other blemishes I may have at the time. All-in-all it a good concealer for a cheap price!
E.L.F Total Powder Brush; This brush I have used for months, but have never mentioned it on my blog before. I really take this brush for granted. It is very soft and pickes up powder & bronzer really well. It is from E.L.F's Essential Line which means it was only $1...Super cheap and works great!!

L.A. Colors Color Craze Polishes in Green Tea, Jewel Tone, and Sassy Sparkle; I have used these polishes a lot lately and love them more and more each time! I love using Sasy Sparkle as a top coat because it leaves my nails all sparkly. Jewel Tone is a purple/violet/blue sparkly polish that looks great over a black or purple painted nail. And Green Tea is a minty-turquoise color that is very unique!
Avon Naturals Lip Balm; If your lips dry out, crust, and crack with the cold weather, this lip balm is for you! It is sooo moisturizing, and makes the cracks in your lips feel like they get "filled in". The grapefruit and mint flavor reminds me of the summer season while it heals the fall/winter problems of cracked lips!

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Base Coat in Nude; This is a great base coat that keeps my brittle nails from not chipping! I can say that once I have been using a good base coat, my nails have been feeling and looking stronger without chipping. It is a thicker polish which is what I look for in a base coat to really protect my nails!
Here are all my faves...what have you been loving this month!? I would love to hear them to see if we agree! :)

Love to hear from you girls!
Please stop by my Facebook page and show your support! :)

Sephora Tender Pink Shadow ♡

Hi Ladies!Wow have I ever been busy, especially today! At school today, I had a oral presentation, a quiz, an exam, and a major project due, so I havnt has time to post anything new yet! But today I have a post about a wonderful shadow that I just recently bought from Sephora!

This past weekend, my friend came into town and we went shopping to Sephora, which just recently opened in my city. When I walked in I was literally like this is makeup Heaven! Haha, it was wonderful! While my friend bought a makeup palette, I purchased the most wonderful eyeshadow I have ever seen! I got one of the Colorful Mono Eyeshadows in the Sephora Collection in the color Tender Pink.

When describing this beautiful color, the best fit discription would be that it is a frosty light pink color with silver glitters. This is my first Sephora eyeshadow, but the Ladies working there told me that their Mono Eyeshadows have the perfect, combination of brilliant color, an easy-blending formula, and endless versatility that will give your eye-makeup a show-stopping effect! I was told that to create a dazzling look, after priming your lids, to apply the color dry for a natural vibe or dampen your brush and apply wet for a sophisticated look. I have tried using the wet formula and I know from expierence that this way really works to make your eyeshadows pop!

I took 2 different swatches of the shadow to see the beautiful color :)

This first picture was taken under darker light with no flash, and you can see the frosty color here.

This picture was taken under a brighter light with a flash on. Here you can really see the frosty light pink color and the silver glitters. I think I am in love! Haha.
This shadow was $16 CDN, and it was worth it!
I will hopefully do a review and tutorial with this color very soon! :)

What is your favorite eyeshadow brand and/or color?

Love to hear from you girls!
