TAG!: What's On My iPhone?!

Hey Girls!

Today I have a fun non-beauty related tag for you! Lately alot of gurus on Youtube have been doing this tag called Whats On My iPhone? Watching these videos for people who have smart phones are really interesting because you get to see what different apps everyone uses! After watching some of these videos I actually downloaded some of the apps to try for myself!

 

Since I have a iPhone, I thought it would be cool to do one of these posts/videos! Ill link the Youtube video I made down below so you guys can watch it too!

So now lets get right to the post!

 

 

 

So first off I thought I would show you what case I use for my phone. It is this SUPER cute black case with diamonds and flowers on the back. I got this at Urban Planet, and love it soooo much! I dont use this case all the time, so I dont lose some of the decals on the back.

 

 

So when you first look at the lock screen of my phone, you will see this picture of me and my friends as the wallpaper. Nothing too special on the lock screen, just the time and date as well.

 

 

When you open my phone, the first page of my phone looks like this. Nothing too special. On this first page I like to keep most of the apps that came with my phone on this page. I think this page is pretty self explanatory so I dont think I will go into detail with this page.

 

 

On my second page, I have the apps that I use alot of the time. So from left to right, I have my Facebook app that I use for my personal account, my Twitter app that I use to let all of you know about my blogging, I have my skype app, then this cool app called Shazam. What it does is it will listen for a song on the radio or whatever, and tell you the name of the song! This is such a handy app that I use when I dont know a name to a song. One the next row I have my emails for my blog, this app called My Fitness Pal that is like a workout/eating diary, then I have sleep/alarm clock app, and then of course my blogging app so I can work on post while I'm out! And on the last row I have my reminders, BodyRock.tv which is a workout video app, and then this cool app that I just downloaded called Period Diary. It keeps track and counts down the days until your next period. I think its pretty cool and cant wait to try it.

 

 

On my last page I have my 3 folders with my gaming/entertainment/utilities apps. I also have my Starbucks app, Instagram, and 2 radio station apps from my city so that I can listen to the radio where ever I am! On this page you also get a better view of my background picture which is of me and my boyfriend Colton :)

 

 

 

In my games folder I have a variety of games. I dont always play these games, but they are here just in case I ever get bored! The games that I have are: Fruit Ninja (soo fun!), Cake Ninja, Unblock Me, Temple Run, Angry Birds (another addicting game!), Sally's Salon, Family Feud, Planet Fish, Miss Spider, Hell's Kitchen, Icebreaker, and Paper Toss. Some of these are kids games (as you can tell haha) that are just on here for fun.

 

 

In my Entertainment folder I have a variety of apps. I first have IMDB which is a movie searching app to see actors/actresses and reviews and pictures of movies. I have this Cineplex app which is to see what movies are playing at the theaters in my city, I then have a few more games: Tap Tap Revenge, Draw Something, Finger Race, and then some funny entertainments apps like FML, Blonde Jokes (yes! haha), and Truth or Dare. I then have my game center app, and the smart phone messenging app Kik.

 

 

In my last folder I have all my utilities such as my calculator, Pic Jointer which is for collaging pictures, Pixlromatic which is this cool editing app for pictures that I just downloaded which is amazing!! I also have PE-Fotolr which is another picture editing app, as well as Insta eFREE, I then have a iTorch flashlight app, RMaker which is to make your own ringtones from songs from your music library!, and then I have just some other random apps like my compass, voice memos, and stocks!

TAG! MY Dirty Little Secrets!

Hey Girls!

Lately a lot of bloggers have been going the Dirty Little Secrets tag post.  So today I thought, why not I do this tag too. So let’s get to the questions!

1. What TV/Film show do you secretly watch?

In my house its not a secret that I love to watch the game type show Big Brother and I also love watching any TLC show, especially Toddlers and Tiaras. But secretly I watch Hannah Montana. Miley is funny in the show and it is one of the last good Disney shows made!

2. What song do you secretly know all the words to?

What makes you beautiful by One Direction, We are young by Fun, Tik Tok by Ke$ha, and Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson!

3. Who is the one "non-famous" person you'd secretly like to meet?

4. What is your worst bad habit?

I would probably say picking/flaking  my mascara off my lashes at the end of the night before I wash off my makeup!  And also being lazy… 2 bad habbits!  

5. What is the most expensive thing you own? Do you regret buying it?

Hmmm, probably clothes! But  I definitely do not regret buying them.

6. What is your biggest pet peeve?

People who are always looking to start a fight with you or start drama, and people who try to sing along with a song but they don’t know all the words! haha.

7. What do you secretly like the smell of?

No one really knows this I think, but I love the smell of citrus things. I really like the smell of Mr. Clean cleaner. I also like the smell of self tanners or spray tans, its weird I know, but I like it. Haha!

8. What are you secretly lusting after?

At this moment I cant think of anything! But I'm sure if you ask me in like a hour I'll have a list of things! haha.

1) What is your favourite part about blogging?

My favourite part of blogging is getting to know all the great people in the blogging community who have the same interests as I do! I also love seeing and hearing all the wonderful comments from my followers, as well as seeing all the different styles of makeup/ fashion that all my wonderful followers have.

2) Is there something you dislike about blogging?

I cant think of anything that I dislike about blogging! Except that its super addicting ;) haha.

3) What are your favourite types of posts to read?

My favourites are definitely any type of outfit posts, hair tutorials or makeup tutorials/ looks! I really do like reading any type of posts, but these are definitely my faves!

4) What's your favourite post from your own blog?

I don’t have one favorite post, but I do like doing makeup tutorials/ looks, or any nail art posts!

5) Which beauty product do you want to purchase due to reading another persons blog?

I've seen so many posts on Mac Tendertones and Revlon Lip Butters! These are definitely 2 products that I would like to try!

Eleven things about me

- My #1 obsession is fashion, beauty, and nails!
- I recently started taking art again, which I am super exicted about
- I live in Canada, and actually like the snow! (hint: snow, not cold temperatures haha)
-  I Have made so many new friends over blogging, and I feel like they are now really good friends of mine! :)
- My favourite colour is purple or pink!
- I am into sports, including track, which I love so much!
- I'm currently in grade 12, and planning on going either too University or Beauty school in the fall.
- I am obsessed with twitter! - no lie.. its ridiculous haha (follow me! @simplychicxox )
- I have been a vegitarian for about a year now!
- I got the iPhone 4s a few weeks ago and I am loving it! (which helps me tweet alot ;) lol)
- My favorite thing to do is listen to music and be on my laptop :)

- What is your favourite makeup brand?
This one is hard, I would have to say Maybelline or Covergirl for low end, and Sephora or MAC for high end

- High street or designer clothes?
I like both! I would love to always buy designer but they are expensive. I think highstreet is definitely the more practical oand affordable option.

- What is your favourite movie?
Just Go With It - soooo funny! or The Last Song, Black Swan, or any of the newer Bring It On's!

- Where do you buy the majority of your clothes from?
Mainly Stitches / Urban Planet. We dont have amazing stores where I live, which kind of sucks.
- What is your makeup essential?
Eyeliner/ Mascara and Bronzer!

- You are stuck on an Island what do you bring with you?
Ooooh not sure!

- What is your wardrobe staple?
Tanks and Lululemon Pants ;p

- How do you organise you makeup?
I keep my everyday stuff in a make up bag on my counter and stuff that I dont use on a regular basis in some drawers

- Quiet village or buzzing city?
Definitely the city!

- Do you buy fashion magazines? If so what is your favourite?
Yes. I like Seventeen ( not really fashion haha) also Lou Lou and vouge :)

1. What are your favorite type of blog-post to write?

I really enjoy writing about nail art, mostly because I love doing my nails. I also love doing tags, like this one!

2. What are your favorite blogs to read?

I really like beauty and fashion blogs because it really keeps you up to date with everything fashion and beauty! J

3. How did you pick your blog name?

I choose Simply Chic xox because the thing that I do and love are pretty simple. It doesn’t always have to be something crazy that you do to get compliments, sometimes its that little simple things that get the most attention. I chose chic because I also love elegant and stylish fashion. J

I've learn a lot about new products, and new ways to apply makeup and new fashion styles!

I started blogging because my friend Ariel (chiclookxo.com) told me about her blog, and said I should make one too. I am really happy I did make a blog because blogging is so much fun.

7. Do you have a favorite blog post of yours?

I don’t have a favorite one, I love all the posts that I do! But if I had to choose I think that it would have been my pink Sephora makeup look. That one was really fun to put together!

8. Name on pro and one con of being a beauty blogger?

Pro: Making new friends and sharing your love of fashion and beauty with the world! I really can't think of a con either!

9. What advice would you give someone dealing with hate?

Ignore it! I've never recieved it myself, blogger's not really known for that I don't think. People who write hate mail or whatever are usually just jealous, so don’t even worry!

10. How long does it take you to write a blog post?

It really depends on the type of post, how much detail it needs, photos etc.

11. What other blogs apart from beauty do you like to read?

I love fashion and photography! It’s very interesting J

12. Who have you made friends with thorough blogging?

All the people I listed above and many more, its probably the best thing about blogging! I can now say I have friends all over the world!

13. How do you get the ideas for blog post?

I get inspired by many things, trying products, getting new clothes, seeing other people's posts, definitely youtube videos, and from my friends!
