Early: We Wear Pink On Wednesdays Manicure

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink! - First Pink Wednesday mani!
So, have you ever watched the movie Mean Girls!? Well that was probably a stupid question. But just in case you haven't, you should go rent it and watch it! Very funny movie, Love it! It will explain why everyone is joining On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. I have seen many bloggers join, so I thought I would too!

Pink is one of the colors I have a lot of in my nail polish collection, which will be very helpful. I have always had a fascination of pink nails, they are very pretty and girly! So now that I have joined Pink Wednesdays, wearing pink nail polish will be something to look forward to!

I know this is a few days early, but my design will still be on for Wednesday! This is the way that I chose to do my first mani / nail art design :

I don't know about you, but I'm loving this design right now! I think its so cute!
I used a combination of pink colors to achieve this look:
Wet n' Wild Wild Shine in Tickled Pink (which is a very soft pink which I used under the top polish)
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Simply Strawberry (which is the top color)
L.A. Nail Art polish in Black to do the design on my nails
I then sealed my design with my top coat!

TIP: A really good trick to get the perfect side swipes without having to re-due them all the time is to use scotch tape!
What I do is tape the part of my nails where I don't want the polish, and paint my nails (well the part that I want painted). And when your nails are dry I just peeled the tape off, and I had a perfect side swipe!

I am looking forward to be doing Pink Wednesday manis!

Nail Polis Collection & Tools

Hey guys!
I don't know about you, but sadly today is the last day before school starts for me. When does your schooling start? Let me know!
As for this being the last completely free day I have, I thought I would show you guys all the nail polishes I own, along with the tools I use to keep my nails healthy.

In the above picture are all my nail polishes. As you can tell, I have a very big variety of colors which is very helpful when I do my nail art. The nail polish brands that can be found in my collection are:

AMORESSE (Cuticle Therapy)                            Rimmel London Lasting Finish PRO
Kelancolor                                                               Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
L.A Colors Art Deco                                               Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
L.A Express                                                             Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear
Maybelline New York Colorama                         Sweet Serenity
Nicole by OPI                                                          Wet n’ Wild Wild Shine
NYC New York Color                                              YOB
Rimmel London Base Coat Top Coat PRO

This picture above is all my nail care products. I use a variety of nail files, nail clippers, cotton balls, nail polish remover, nail stickers, nail decals (gems), my nail brush, and thingies to seperate your toes when you paint them...(dont know their name lol!...toe seperators?...) Anyways, the items listed above are:
American Painter nail art brush
Decals can be bought from any Dollarstore to ebay to any craft store like Michaels
Equate Strengthening Nail Polish Remover
Hoof Hands nail clipper
Hoof Hands nail files
Joe nail file
Kiss nail art stickers
Revlon nail file
The Body Shop nail buffer block

This is where I store all my nail polishes, and as you can see in the picture below they are pretty stuffed! However, they are a good, small, and easy place to store your polishes.

Lastly I wanted to include a picture of my bare nails with no polish, and well here it is!

And that's it! Pretty basic stuff! Be sure to come back later this week where I will show my first nail art for Pink Wednesdays, a Mean Girls manicure day inspired by the Plastics and their rule for wearing pink on Wednesdays!

Make sure to follow! :)

Nail Of The Day

We're keeping it real...
Today I created this quick and easy nail art with only 3 colors! This design is very simple but yet it gives a real fancy look to your simple manicure.

The polishes I used to create this look are as follows:
Nicole by OPI  in Keep It Real

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Diamonds
Wet n' Wild Wild Shine in French White Creme

American Painter (6/0) 4350 Liner Nail Art Brush

After applying my base coat, I used my Nicole by OPI color all over my nails. Once that was dry I applied Sally Hansen's Diamond color on top on my nails. After all was dry, I used my American Painter brush in 6/0 and French White Creme to design my nails. Once that is dry I used Rimmel London Base Coat Top Coat as a top coat to seal in my nail art.

Tell me what you think of this design, and try it out with your favorite colors!

Softlips Pure Natural Lip Balm Review

Today I am doing a review on a new lip balm from Softlips, their Pure Natural Lip Balm. I got this wonderful lip balm from work today, and I knew I had to do a review on it right away! I would have to say that this is now one of my most loved lip balms ever!

This lip balm has such a smooth texture and when it is applied it glides on so smoothly! The smell of the lip balm is not very strong which is great since I get headaches from strong smelling lip balms/ glosses. I would compare this to my Nivea A Kiss of Smoothness Hydrating Lip Care and say that it feels just about the same. My Nivea lip balm quickly absorbs and leaves a sensationally soft feeling on my lips. The formula has Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter to provide an intensive and long lasting moisture. My Soft Lips Pure Natural Lip Balm has a gentle beeswax formula that contains 100% food grade ingredients. It is gentle enough for even the most sensitive lips. It contains moisturizing ingredients like Shea Butter Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera Extracts, Conditioning Grape Seed Oil, and Vitamin E to help improve condition lips for a healthy look and feel. This is a great lip balm and i would give it a 4.5/5!
I would recommend this to anyone who has dry lips and needs a lip balm to take them from drab to fab!
Use this lip balm alone, or under your favorite lip gloss!

Beachy Bronze Makeup Tutorial

Here we go! School is starting up again for another school year! With this shimmery-beachy look, you can start off the school year looking fab!
This look I have created is a beachy-back to school eye look. It is a natural look with shimmery shadows that makes you look awake. This simple look is very easy and does not require a lot of products. To get this look follow the steps below!

The first thing you want to do is prime your eye lids with you're favorite eyeshadow primer. This will just make your shadows last all day and night and will not make them crease.  I used my EcoTools 1203 flat shading brush to apply Gold Rush by Joe all over most of my eye lid. I used my ELF Eyeshadow "C" Brush and used Chocolate by Joe on the outer corner of my eyes. Once that is applied, I used a blending brush to blend the two colors together, adding more color onto my brush where needed.

When I finished with my eyeshadow, I used my Annabelle pencil eyeliner in 73 Black to line my upper lashline. On my waterline, I used Wet 'n Wild 656A White Eyeliner, then lined the rest of my eye with my Annabelle pencil eyeliner. To complete eye look, I used a combination of my favorite mascaras to my top and bottom lashes. By combining mascaras you can see that it creates voluminous dark lashes. If you would like to darken up the look yet, you can add some black pencil liner to the water line and tight line your eyes, which is what I did. Lastly I took a Iced Champagne eyeshadow with a sponge tip applicator, and added this color to the inner corners and tear ducks of my eyes. By doing this with any light color shadow, it brightens your eyes and makes you look more awake.

For this look I would highly recommend using Joe eyeshadows in Gold Rush and Chocolate. I picked these up at Superstore in their makeup department. These eyeshadows are very pigmented and very shimmery. These shadows look great when worn alone or with any of your other favorite shadows. This makeup look will look great on many different skin tones.

 Products used:

Joe Eyeshadow in Gold Rush
Joe Eyeshadow in Chocolate

Rimmel London Glam' Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara
Annabelle Eyeliner in 73 Black
EcoTools 1203 brush
ELF Eyeshadow "C" brush
Blending brush
The Body Shop Eye Lash Curler

In the coming school year I will some other natural looks for everyday school looks, as well as more dramatic looks. Hope you enjoyed this look! This look I have worn for most of the summer, and is a natural look that will look great for school!

Let me know if you give this look a try!

Outfit Of The Day

Today I wanted to share my outfit of the day. It is one of my favorite dressy summer outfits. This outfit is a simple yet classy outfit that can be worn for a day of shopping or to any semi-formal event.

Top from Bluenotes, $12
Crops from Lululemon, $86
George Wedges from Walmart, $15
Chanel Purse. I got this from a friend, so price is unknown
The Top that I am wearing is a baby-doll type top. I got it at Bluenotes for around $12. My black crops are from Lululemon Athletica, which were around $86. My Wedges are by George which I got at Walmart for $15. I just wanted to say that the wedges are EXTREMELY comfortable. The top leather-like material is very soft, and the wedges themselves are easy to walk in! My bag is a Chanel purse which i got from a friend, so the price and place where she got it from is unknown. However, Chanel purses are easy to find! For accessories, I am wearing Diamond studs, and a simple silver bracelet. Also, i chose to wear my hair wavy to give the look a more dressy look.

I hope you enjoyed my outfit of the day! And feel free to comment! =)
