My Hair Routine!

Hey loves!
First off I would like to thank all my followers! I just recently hit 155 followers, which made me really happy. So thank you so much!

I got a request for my hair care routine, and realized that I have not done a post on this since the summer! To check that one out, click here. So here is my updated routine! :)

First off, Some basic info about my hair routine: I don't wash my hair everyday, I wash it every other day. As many of you probably already know, it is very unhealthy to wash your hair everyday. It strips your hair of the natural oils it needs to grow and be healthy. I also rarely put heat on it. So that means I will either wear my hair natural, in some type of no-heat up-do, or French Braid it and wear it wavy.
The shampoo and conditioner are not high end, but they work for me!

Here I have Suave Naturals shampoo, AG Cosmetics Therapy Conditioner, and L'Oreal Feria Conditioner. I switch up my shampoos and conditioners a lot, so they will always be changing!

I also use John Frieda Sheer Tone-Restoring (purple) Shampoo and Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo. Haha, Yes I do use a lot of shampoo. Once I am out of the shower, I let my hair towel dry, lightly comb through it, then I spray John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Spray all over my head. I use a wide tooth comb to spread the spray throughout my hair. I just have to add that this spray actually works! When I first bought it I was a bit skeptical about this product, but it has actually lightened my hair, and my roots too! I definitely recommend this to any blondes out there :)

The heat protector that I usually use is Got 2b Crazy Sleek Flat Iron & Blow Dry Lotion. This heat protector has a thick consistency, which I like because I find that it will protect my hair more. Lately I haven't been doing this a lot, mainly because I haven't had time, but I do deep condition my hair. When I do I use Garnier Fructis Deep Repair Mask. With this mask it says to leave it on for 1 minute, but I usually like leaving it on for more than just 1 minute, but thats just me :)

I never used to blow dry my hair, but for the Lightening Spray, it says that results are better when you blow dry your hair, so lately that's what I've been doing after I wash my hair. I use the Conair Fuse hairdryer, which is not highend, but it gets the job done! The times when I flat iron my hair, I use a Remington flat iron, but I forget if it has a name or not. If you watch my V-Day Hair tutorial video, there will be a picture of it in the video.

I hope this post was helpful! Let me know if you have tried any of these products, or if you want a review on any of them!

  3. Great Post :) I'll have to try out that John Freida lightening spray- I live in Canada to- but it seems like some products take ages to be put on shelves where I live. Do you get your hair colored at a salon? its such a gorgoeus color :-)

    1. Oh thats no good! No actually, I color my hair at home myself! The last time I went to a salon they messed up my hair pretty bad, so I just do it myself! Lots of people are suprised to hear that, but I actually do everything myself: color my hair, cut my hair, and wax my eyebrows!

    2. I color my own hair to :) I've never had a great salon experience. I've only gone once a couple years back, and they messed my hair up to, and they still expected me to pay $200- I've always liked being my own stylist, no mix-ups that way :-)

      Do you bleach your hair?

    3. The same thing happened to me too! It's better to do it yourself and like the results! :) I don't actually use bleaching products or whatever hah, I just use the boxed dye. However some of the boxes I used in the past have said "bleach" on it, so I suppose I have bleached my hair before.
