Braided Nail Art

Hey Beauties!
Sorry for the lack of post this past week, I am currently on vacation with my family.
The other day Cute Polish from YouTube uploaded a video on braided nails. I fell in live with this look, so I tried this out right away. It was a super easy look to create as soon as you get the hang of it! However this look did take me a while to do.

The nails that Cute Polish created turned out like this:

And the design I came up with is:

For this look, you only need 3 polishes. The ones I chose were:
- L.A. Colors in Electrified
- Maybelline New York Express Finish in Onyx Rush
- Maybelline New York Express Fibish in Racy Red
- Rimmel London Clear Base Coat
- China Glaze Fast Foreward Top Coat which I am LOVING right now!

I hope you all like this look and be sure check out the video tutorial to get the same look!

Naked Palette Quick Look #3

Hey girls!
Today I have for you another Naked Palette quick look. This look is a look that I wear all the time in the day to either school, work, or just to go out. It is really easy to achieve and the light colors really brighten your eyes.

First what I do is mix Sin and Virgin together as apply this all over the lids of my eyes.
I will then take Darkhorse and Smog, mixing them together and applying that to the outer corners of my eyes.
Then I use a mixture of Naked and Virgin to blend the colors up to my brow bone.
For the inner corner of my eye, I used a champagne color shadow from one of my Rimmel palettes.
After that, I just apply my eyeliner and mascara as usual. And you're done!

Hope you enjoyed this look!

Glossy Neutral Lips ♡

Hey Girls!
With summer fast approaching, one thing that I know is great for summer are neutral lips. I love the look of light colored/ nude lips for summer time as well as wearing my lips glossy too. Today I have another YouTube tutorial on how I wear my neutral glossy ways -- one really pale, and one with a pinkish color to them!

The trick I use to get a nice neutral/ nude lip is to start out with a good base to your lips. I use a combination of concealers to get the desired shade that I want. After I blend that into my lips, I start adding the gloss or color to my lips that I want to wear that day.

When you apply the concealer to your lips, it looks kinda scary but thats what I find works for me!

For the full tutorial click the video below! :)

Do you like nude lips? Will you be wearing them this summer?

OOTN ~ Winter Formal ♡

Hey girls! I have a really exciting post tonight! On monday night, our senior class  at my school had our Winter Formal dinner and dance. I've been planning on doing this post to show you girls my makeup, nails, dress, and especially my heels!
I will also include some pics of the fun and memorable night with all of my friends! :)

Makeup
The dress that I wore was black with silver gems on it, so I chose to do my makeup as a silver smokey eye.

I used a white cream base and applied it all over my lid. After I applied Rimmel London's shadow in Silver Moonlight all over my lid. For the outer "v" I packed on Chocolate by Joe Fresh. After blending the two colors together, I applied NYC's Liquid Eyeliner on the top of my lid as well as on my bottom lashes. I also used Annabelle's Kohl eyeliner to make the look even more dramatic.  After the eyeliner, I applied a generous amount of mascara.

Nails

I decided to do something simple but very pretty for my nails. I used Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails in Ice and used Simply Strawberry also by Sally Hansen to side swipe the pink on my nails and used Sassy Sparkle by L.A. Colors to add sparkle to the side swipe. I used L.A. Colors Silver Glitter Striper to add a sparkled stripe.

Dress:
This dress is a hard one to explain the detailing on it, but one thing that is easy to say about it is that it is black lol. Here are some pics:

Heels
The heels that I wore are absolutely amazing! I know when I saw them that they were the ones for me. However, they were 5.5 inches and by then end of the night my feel hurt so much and the next day my calf's also hurt so much from them!

For some more pictures from this night...

November Favorites

Hey Girls! So November is now over so it means that it's time of the month again!
Lots of different type of favourites for you all this month, November has been all about hair and skin for me. I'm sooo excited that it's December, Christmas time is almost here... and so is the most beautiful time of year!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TRESemme Hair Spray: I am in love with this hair spray right now! Along with the amazing smell of it (and of all TRESemme products), it is one of those hair sprays that don't leave your hair feeling stiff or sticky throughout the day. I wouldn't say that it last all day, but what I like the most is that it doesn't leave your hair stiff!
TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray: I am also loving this heat protector. It has the same wonderful smell that the hair spray has and I find that it pritects by hair well when I am using my flat iron or curling iron!
Rimmel London Eyeshadow: This Rimmel shadow in Silver Moonlight is a perfect color for the holidays! It is a very shimmery silver color that makes your eyes POP when you wear it! It is a very pretty color!
Joe Fresh Shadow Brush: This large shadow brush is really great when applying color all over your lids. I love using this brush when I am in a rush to get to school in the morning and I need a brush that will quickly apply a good amount of color all over my lids!
Hempz Herbal Moisturizer: With the weather reaching extreme cold temperatures, my skin sure gets effected by it! This lotion is a very thick and heavy which is prefect! I always apply this before going to bed, and in the morning I wake up with my face feeling soft and moisturized!
NYC Long Lasting Nail Polish: This color in Kool Blue is such a beautiful color! It is a frosty blue color that is perfect for designing snowflakes on your nails this winter!
Maybelline Express Finish Nail Polish: This color is the brightest aqua-blue color I've ever seen! This color is called Timely Turquoise and its is soo bright and beautiful color! One of my faves :)
And last but not least, I bought this cute Dora Lip Jelly at work just because I need a cheap lipbalm to use when I am on the go. This one I bought for $1 CDN and I love it! That might be super odd, since it was only $1 but it really works! And with the super cute packaging, I just had to go buy another one!
What were your favorites this month? Have a great weekend!
Winter Frost Eyeshadow & NOTW & Blog Award
Hey Girls!
So I think winter is officially here! Well where I live anyways! For the past 3 days I have woke up to snow snow snow! I love the weather when you look outside and the snow has just fallen and it looks all fluffy and sparkly!
This is what I woke up to this morning! Looking outside make me want to get a nice mug of Hot Chocolate and lay in bed watching Christmas movies all day! Haha, but unfortunately I had to work all day today and wasn’t able to enjoy doing that.
However, today I was able to do a eyeshadow tutorial using my Sephora Eyeshadow that bought not to long ago. I really love this eyeshadow and the beautiful silver sparkles that are in it make me love it even more.
I used my Tickled Pink by Sephora and Chocolate by Joe Fresh. I also applied some glitter eyeliner on top of the shadows to make it even more sparkly! I did a post on it when I first purchased this eyeshadow and posted a few swatches here. Tickled Pink is a gorgeous frosty pink color with silver glitters, it isvery smooth in texture, has a shimmery finish, and blends so nicely. I absolutely love this shade paired with a darker chocolate brown color.
For my lips, I decided to go with bright red-pink lips to give the look a pop of color! I also added some shimmery gloss over to make the shadow and lips go perfectly together.
Eyeshadow Tutorial & Blog Award ♡
Hi Girlies!
Tonight I have made for you an eyeshadow tutorial video! Last week I was playing around with my makeup and wanted to do a colorful look that can also be used for Halloween. Nothing that was too crazy, not a lot of colors but something easy to create. I used Rimmel's eyeshadows which are pretty pigmented and they have a lot of fun colors.
The pink color has a very smooth in texture and a satin finish, and blends so nicely. I absolutely love this shade paired with either a lighter or a darker color.
When I filmed this tutorial it was right after I came home from work, and I wasn't in the mood to take off all my eye makeup and then re-due it for the tutorial lol! But you get the idea from the video :)
And to the video:
September Favorites
It's that time of month again, favorites time! Fall has been here for almost 2 weeks, and where I live the weather has begun to change. Cooler winds, shorter day, mildly hot day, and even cooler nights. Sooner than later its going to be Christmas! These September Favorites are not all that exciting, but here they are:
Garnier Fructis Deep Repair Hair Mask: With the changing of seasons, my hair is also feeling the change! The weather has been making it start to feel dry and brittle. The Garnier Fructis Deep Repair Hair Mask is awesome for moisturizing my hair. I use it 1 - 2 times a week, and I can see a difference after every use! It makes my hair easier to comb through after my shower, and silk feeling as well. I recommend this product if your hair gets dry or is damaged, it really works! :)
TAG: Fall Loves
I am doing a tag that my friend Ariel (chiclookxo.blogspot.com) posted that Macbarbie07 on Youtube recently created. This tag has a variety of fun questions about fall and Halloween! So here are my Fall Loves!
Top 5 Makeup Items:
As you can see I had to add a lot of eye makeup. First is Maybelline XXL PRO Extensions Mascara. I absolutely love this mascara! It come with a mascara primer and when you apply that it makes your eyelashes super long!
The NYC Liquid Eyeliner is also amazing. The brush that is in the tube works very well. The eyeliner stays on for 12+ hours with no smudging or flaking! It also does not run easily.
The bronzer listed is the Physicians Formula Bamboo Silk Bronzer. This bronzer is super silky and has a wonderful natural color to it. It also comes with a lighter color, so your face does not end up being one big orange!
I have to mentions my Joe Fresh Eyeshadows again! I love love love these eyeshadows as I have mentioned before. They are beautiful colors and very pigmented. Cant get enough of them :)
Lastly I am also loving this palette from Ardenz. I have already hit pan with 3 of these colors, but that is because I love these colors. They are perfect neutral colors for fall.
Favorite Hair Product:
As fall and winter are slow but fastly approaching, Mmy hair and skin get so dry in these seasons, so I need to apply a good hair treatment to keep it hydrated. My favorite is the Garnier Fructis Deep Repair Hair Masque. I apply it in the shower after I shampoo about once a week. The directions say to leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it off. I notice right after I get out of the shower that it really works - and works well too. The smell is also amazing, it is citrus and refreshing.
Favorite Nail Polish:
I almost couldn't have picked one specific polish for fall, I had at almost 10 polishes in mind! The best one I chose for fall is Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Violet. This is a deep vibrant violet color that has a bit of blue to it too. It is an amazing color. I did a nail art design with it last week, and did not want to take it off. The brush to it is super wide and one stroke covers just about your whole nail! It also last super long. It says 10 days, but didn't chip before 6 days!
Favorite Fall Scent:
I love this La Senza Sweet Embrace Body Spray. It has fruity scent but does not remind me of spring fruit but fall fruit. Its a perfect fall sent. I also love the smell of Thanksgiving Dinner. The smell of cooking turkey and its other meals, is just a wonderful smell.
Most worn accessory:
 My most worn accessory is big chunky jewellery! I love big necklaces, especially owls, and big rings! Ive been wearing them a lot lately and love the funky style that they give to any outfit. If you don't have some of these big jewellery pieces, go and get some! :)
Most worn clothing item:
Lululemon Pants! I wear these so often its ridiculous. I do sports a lot so I am used to wearing athletic pants. I don't have any pair in particular, but they just look great with most flats, booties/boots.
Who is my Fall Style icon?
My fall fashion style icon is Demi Lovato. Ever since her single skyscraper came out, I have been in love with her. I find Demi to be just an inspiration to me, and I feel I can relate to her seeing how the struggles that she had, have affected me as well.
I love the style that Demi has in her Skyscraper music video. The feather hair extensions, chunky jewellery, and cross earrings. I love the way that she wears them, so my fall style icon is most definitely Demi Lovato.
You are going to a corn maze, what do you wear?
  The outfit that I would wear would be this cute top from Bluenotes, Lululemon Pants, and Purple Toms to bring out the purple in my shirt. Toms are not only in style and cute, but they are super comfortable! Depending on what the weather is like, you can always wear a black cardigan with this cute outfit!
What is your favorite Halloween movie?
Still to this day I do not watch scary/ horror movies. I have had bad experiences in the past watching them so I am going to pick a cute kids Halloween movie.
  Winnie the Pooh Frankenpooh is such a cute Halloween movie, and still to this day I can still remember watching it every Halloween as a kid!
What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I don't have a favorite Halloween candy since I do not eat candy or chocolate, but the Halloween chocolate I like as a kid was the Crunchie chocolate bars. :)
What are you being for Halloween?
That is a very good question! I don't know exactly what I want to be, but I have an idea of a female sailor or a pin-up like girl something like this:
 I think this is a cute costume to wear! What do you guys think?
Let me know, or got some great ideas? I would love to hear them! :)
And that's the end of this Fall Loves tag! This was really fun to do, and I challenges all my followers or anyone else who reads my blog to do this too. I tag you! :)
